Bassam Al-Joundi MD, FACC, completed his Residency and Fellowship in Internal Medicine and Cardiovascular diseases at St. Louis University Medical Center in 1993, he served as Chief Resident in Internal Medicine In 1990, he also served as Chief Fellow in Cardiovascular medicine in 1992. He was elected Cardiovascular Fellow of the year in 1992. Dr. Al-Joundi completed his subspecialty fellowship in Interventional Cardiology at St. Louis University Medical Center in 1994. He is Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at St. Louis University Medical Center and he is a Fellow in the American College of Cardiology. Dr. Al-Joundi is board certified in Internal Medicine, Cardiovascular Diseases, Interventional Cardiology and International Board of Heart Rhythm Examiners (IBHRE), formerly NASPExAM . He maintains a clinical office based practice in addition to performing procedures, which include cardiac catheterization, cardiac and peripheral vascular balloon angioplasty and stenting. He also implants permanent pacemakers including cardiac resynchronization devices (Biventricular pacemakers) used for the treatment of Congestive Heart Failure.
